June's Challenge: Invite a non-member or less-active friend, family member, or acquaintance to your home for family home evening.  Allow them the chance to feel the spirit that accompanies family and the Gospel.

Ward / RS Activities:​​​
  • Saturday, June 20th 8:00 to 10:00 am - Spruce up the Library! at Tualatin Library.   Join our Relief Society in our President's Oaks inspired Service Project associated with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  We'll gather at the library to dust shelves, organize collections, and socialize with other library fans.  Please RSVP to Heather Dunnigan - We have 20 openings available - first come first serve for reservations. 
  • Saturday, July 4th 9:00am - combined ward 250th commemorative 4th of July breakfast! 
  • Sunday, July 5th - worldwide,​​ unified fast to express gratitude for religious liberty and to pray that it be strengthened throughout the world. 
  • Thursday, July 16th 7:00-8:30 pm.  Relief Society Thank-You Note Writing Event.  Celebrate the 250th Birthday of America by thanking our local first responders and veterans.  Writing materials will be provided.

Service Opportunities:​ Tuesday, June 9th @ 8am Endowment, followed by a boxed picnic breakfast on temple grounds 
  • ​​Ongoing Service needs: Feed missionaries; Clean ward building; Offer rides to and from church; substitutes needed in Primary.  See a member of the RS Presidency after church for more information or to sign up.​
  • Substitutes are needed at the Stake Family Search Center., especially during this summer, to help in the Stake Family Search Center.  Volunteers do not have to be experts.  Call Pam Ditty or Joan Elison if you can be on the substitute list. Youth are encouraged to be substitutes as well.  They can use their service hours towards high school service hours, and Service Missionaries are also encouraged to be substitutes.​​

Stake /Worldwide Activities:​​​​​​
JUNE
  • June 7th - Seminary Graduation at the Stake Center
  • No Day Relief Society June, July or August.  Day RS returns with: September 14th with "Trash to Treasure" 
  • June 13th - Stake Blood Drive
  • June 14th - Young single adults who would like to meet new people and experience the YSA ward are invited to attend Sunday June 14.For those who would like to travel together, we will meet at the Sherwood meetinghouse at 11:00 a.m. and head over as a group. Others are welcome to meet us directly at the YSA meetinghouse at 11:25 a.m.  The YSA ward will be having a linger longer after church.  They would love to have everyone attend as their guests and not feel any obligation to bring food or contribute to the event. We’d love to have anyone interested come join the ranks!
  • June 23rd - Stake Pillowcase Service Project @ the Sherwood Building 6:00 - 9:00 PM  Open invitation!  Woodhaven ward relief society and young women are hosting an annual service project in honor of one of our former stake young women, Kaitlyn Starling.  Pillowcases for Randall Children’s Hospital.  All relief society sisters and young women are invited.  Come anytime you are available.
  • June 26, 6-9pm.  The Tabernacle Choir's historic 100th-anniversary concert at the Hollywood Bowl will premiere on Friday, June 26, 2026. JULY
  • July 4th - Combined ward 250th celebration breakfast & flag ceremony. 9:00am
  • Tualatin Stake Week in the House of the Lord, July 14-18, 2026
                   ~ 7pm session dedicated as the stake endowment session
                   ~ Youth baptism time is reserved on Thursday, July 16 from 1 to 5 PM

ONGOING:
  • Every Tuesday: Stake Coed Volleyball, 8:45 - 10:45 pm @ Tualatin Stake Center
  • Every Thursday: Stake Pickle ball, 8:30 - 10:30 pm @ Tigard (98th Ave) Cultural Hall
  • Every Thursday: Women's Volleyball, 8:30 pm @ Tualatin Stake Center
  • Every 2nd Monday of the Month (Excluding summer months): Day Relief Society at 10 am @ Tigard (98th Ave) RS Room  
  • Every 3rd Thursday of the Month:  ​TEMPLE AND FAMILY HISTORY: classes held at the Family Search Center - Tualatin Stake center, 22284 SW Grahams Ferry Road at 7pm.  The class is suited for all members regardless of family history experience.
